Terms of Use

Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of ToonSpace, including its website, reading features, creator tools, community functions, and any related services made available through the platform.

By visiting, registering for, uploading content to, or otherwise using ToonSpace, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should not access or use the platform.

Additional rules, policies, or guidelines may apply to specific features. These may include our Privacy Policy, Copyright Policy, community standards, creator requirements, and payment terms where applicable. Those policies form part of your agreement with ToonSpace.

1. About ToonSpace

ToonSpace is an online platform where users can discover manga, manhwa, manhua, original comics, and independent stories across different genres. The platform may also allow eligible creators to publish, share, manage, and promote their own comic content.

Features may vary depending on location, device, account type, content availability, and platform development. ToonSpace may introduce, modify, suspend, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary to operate, improve, protect, or update the service.

2. Eligibility to Use ToonSpace

You must meet the minimum age required by the laws of your country or region to use ToonSpace independently. If you are considered a minor under applicable law, you may use the platform only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

By using ToonSpace, you represent that you are legally able to enter into these Terms. Parents or guardians who permit a minor to use the platform are responsible for supervising that minor’s activity and helping them understand these Terms.

ToonSpace may restrict access to certain content, community features, or creator tools based on age, location, legal requirements, or content classifications.

3. User Accounts

Some ToonSpace features may require you to create an account. When registering, you must provide information that is accurate, current, and complete. You are responsible for keeping your account information updated.

You are responsible for protecting your password and other login credentials. You should not share your account with another person or allow anyone to access it without permission. Activity performed through your account may be treated as activity authorized by you.

You must notify ToonSpace promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization, compromised, or used in a way that violates these Terms.

ToonSpace may reject usernames, profile information, or account details that are misleading, impersonate another person, violate intellectual property rights, contain abusive language, or create confusion about an official relationship with ToonSpace.

4. Permission to Use the Platform

Subject to these Terms, ToonSpace grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable permission to access and use the platform for lawful personal or creative purposes.

This permission does not transfer ownership of ToonSpace, its software, branding, interface, databases, or licensed content to you. You may not copy, sell, sublicense, redistribute, modify, reverse engineer, scrape, or commercially exploit any part of the platform unless ToonSpace has given you written permission or applicable law expressly allows it.

5. Comics and Content Available on ToonSpace

Content available through ToonSpace may be owned by ToonSpace, independent creators, publishers, licensors, partners, or other rights holders. Comics, illustrations, characters, logos, text, graphics, and other materials may be protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Your ability to read or access content does not give you ownership of that content. Unless expressly permitted, you may not download, reproduce, republish, translate, distribute, sell, modify, publicly display, or create derivative works from content available on ToonSpace.

Content availability may change over time. A comic, chapter, free episode, or other feature may be added, updated, restricted, or removed because of creator decisions, licensing arrangements, legal obligations, regional availability, or platform requirements.

6. User-Submitted Content

ToonSpace may allow users to submit comics, illustrations, descriptions, comments, profile information, messages, reviews, or other materials. Content submitted through these features is referred to in these Terms as user-submitted content.

You retain ownership of the original content you create and upload to ToonSpace. ToonSpace does not claim ownership of your original comic merely because you publish it through the platform.

You are solely responsible for the user-submitted content associated with your account. Before uploading any material, you must ensure that you own it or have all permissions, licenses, and legal rights required to publish and share it.

7. License Granted to ToonSpace

When you upload user-submitted content, you grant ToonSpace a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, display, format, adapt for technical purposes, distribute, and make that content available through the platform.

This license allows ToonSpace to operate the service, display your work to readers, optimize content for different devices, create previews or thumbnails, support platform search, and promote your published content or the ToonSpace service.

ToonSpace will not acquire ownership of your original work through this license. The license continues for as long as your content remains available through ToonSpace and for a reasonable period afterward where copies remain in backups, cached systems, shared promotional materials, or records required for legal and security purposes.

You may remove your content through available account tools or request removal where such tools are unavailable. Removal may not immediately eliminate copies previously shared, cached, backed up, or lawfully used before your request.

8. Creator Representations and Responsibilities

By publishing content on ToonSpace, you represent and warrant that:

  • You created the content or have permission from every relevant rights holder to publish it.
  • Your content does not infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, contractual, or other rights belonging to another person.
  • You have obtained permission from collaborators, illustrators, writers, translators, photographers, or other contributors where required.
  • Your content does not contain unlawful, deceptive, malicious, or prohibited material.
  • Information you provide about the work, its ownership, and its creators is accurate.
  • Your publication of the content does not violate an exclusive agreement with another platform, publisher, agency, or distributor.

Creators are responsible for resolving ownership disputes involving their work. ToonSpace may temporarily restrict or remove disputed content while reviewing a complaint.

9. Prohibited Content

You may not upload, publish, share, promote, or link to content that:

  • Infringes copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.
  • Contains sexual exploitation of minors or otherwise endangers children.
  • Promotes terrorism, violent extremism, or serious criminal activity.
  • Contains credible threats, targeted harassment, stalking, or unlawful discrimination.
  • Encourages suicide, self-harm, or dangerous behavior in a harmful or exploitative manner.
  • Contains malware, malicious code, phishing links, or tools intended to compromise another person’s device or account.
  • Discloses private, confidential, or personally identifying information without permission.
  • Impersonates another person, creator, company, or ToonSpace representative.
  • Is fraudulent, intentionally deceptive, or designed to manipulate readers.
  • Violates applicable laws, regulations, court orders, or legally binding obligations.

ToonSpace may apply age restrictions, visibility controls, content warnings, or other measures to mature themes that are permitted but may not be suitable for every reader.

10. Prohibited Conduct

When using ToonSpace, you must not:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to another account, server, database, or restricted platform area.
  • Use bots, automated scripts, crawlers, or scraping tools without written permission.
  • Interfere with platform security, availability, performance, or normal operation.
  • Artificially manipulate views, ratings, rankings, followers, reactions, or engagement.
  • Send spam, repetitive promotions, scams, or unsolicited commercial messages.
  • Sell, transfer, rent, or misuse another person’s account.
  • Remove copyright notices, watermarks, creator credits, or rights-management information.
  • Use ToonSpace content to train, develop, or operate automated systems where doing so violates applicable rights or requires permission that has not been obtained.
  • Encourage or assist another person in violating these Terms.

11. Community Participation

Community features should be used respectfully. Criticism of a story, character, or artistic choice should focus on the work rather than becoming harassment or personal abuse directed at a creator or reader.

Users must not organize targeted harassment, publish private information, repeatedly contact someone who has asked them to stop, or use community features to intimidate other people.

ToonSpace may remove comments, restrict interactions, apply account limitations, or take other moderation action when conduct threatens the safety, accessibility, or integrity of the community.

12. Copyright Complaints

ToonSpace respects the intellectual property rights of creators, publishers, and other rights holders. Users may not upload content that they do not own or have permission to use.

If you believe content available on ToonSpace infringes your copyright, you may submit a copyright complaint through the contact or copyright reporting channel provided on the platform. A complete complaint should include:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed.
  • The location or URL of the allegedly infringing content on ToonSpace.
  • Your name and reliable contact information.
  • A statement explaining why you believe the use is unauthorized.
  • A statement that the information in your complaint is accurate.
  • Your physical or electronic signature, where required.

ToonSpace may remove or restrict access to content after receiving a valid complaint. Where appropriate, the affected user may be informed and given an opportunity to respond or submit a counter-notification in accordance with applicable law.

Accounts associated with repeated or serious copyright infringement may be restricted or terminated. Knowingly submitting false or misleading copyright claims may result in account action and may expose the sender to legal consequences.

13. Content Review and Moderation

ToonSpace may review, classify, restrict, demonetize, disable, or remove content when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, respond to complaints, comply with legal obligations, protect users, or preserve platform integrity.

ToonSpace is not required to pre-screen every submission and does not guarantee that all objectionable or infringing content will be identified immediately. Users may report content that they believe violates these Terms.

Moderation decisions may consider context, severity, potential harm, publication history, applicable law, and whether less restrictive measures are appropriate. Where available, users may request a review of certain moderation decisions.

14. Third-Party Links and Services

ToonSpace may contain links to third-party websites, services, advertisements, payment providers, or creator pages. These third parties operate independently and may have their own terms, privacy practices, and content policies.

ToonSpace does not control and is not responsible for third-party services merely because a link appears on the platform. You should review the relevant terms and policies before using an external service or providing it with personal or payment information.

15. Privacy and Personal Information

Your use of ToonSpace may involve the collection and processing of personal information. Our Privacy Policy explains what information may be collected, why it is used, how it may be shared, and what choices may be available to users.

You should review the Privacy Policy before creating an account, publishing content, or using community features.

16. Platform Availability

ToonSpace aims to provide a stable and accessible service, but uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed. Access may be affected by maintenance, updates, technical problems, cybersecurity incidents, third-party services, legal restrictions, or events beyond reasonable control.

ToonSpace may modify or discontinue all or part of the platform. Where reasonably possible, advance notice may be provided for significant changes that materially affect registered users or creators.

17. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ToonSpace is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. ToonSpace does not guarantee that the platform will always be available, error-free, secure, or suitable for every particular purpose.

ToonSpace does not guarantee the accuracy, quality, legality, ownership, or reliability of every user-submitted work, comment, recommendation, or external link. Users should exercise reasonable judgment when interacting with content, creators, readers, or third-party services.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded in your country or region.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ToonSpace and its operators, employees, contractors, affiliates, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from your use of, or inability to use, the platform.

This may include loss of data, content, revenue, opportunity, reputation, or anticipated savings. ToonSpace is not responsible for losses caused by unauthorized account access where the user failed to take reasonable steps to protect login credentials.

Some jurisdictions do not permit certain liability exclusions. In those jurisdictions, these limitations apply only to the extent legally permitted.

19. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold ToonSpace and its operators harmless from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and reasonable legal expenses arising from:

  • Your user-submitted content.
  • Your violation of these Terms.
  • Your infringement of another person’s rights.
  • Your unlawful or unauthorized use of the platform.
  • A dispute between you and another creator, collaborator, or user.

This section does not require consumers to accept obligations that cannot lawfully be imposed under applicable consumer protection laws.

20. Account Suspension and Termination

You may stop using ToonSpace at any time. Where account controls are available, you may also request account closure, subject to legal, security, payment, dispute, and record-retention requirements.

ToonSpace may warn, restrict, suspend, or terminate an account when a user seriously or repeatedly violates these Terms, creates risk for other users, infringes intellectual property rights, engages in fraudulent conduct, or exposes the platform to legal or security harm.

Where reasonable and legally permitted, ToonSpace may provide notice of the action and an opportunity to appeal. Immediate action may be taken when necessary to prevent harm, preserve evidence, protect users, or comply with legal obligations.

21. Changes to These Terms

ToonSpace may update these Terms to reflect changes in platform features, business operations, community standards, technology, or legal requirements.

The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Where required or reasonably appropriate, ToonSpace may provide additional notice through the platform, account notifications, or email.

Your continued use of ToonSpace after updated Terms take effect means that you accept the revised Terms. If you do not agree with an update, you should stop using the platform.

22. Contact ToonSpace

Questions about these Terms, account restrictions, content moderation, or platform use may be submitted through the Contact page available on ToonSpace.

Copyright complaints should be sent through the designated copyright reporting channel and should include enough information for ToonSpace to identify the protected work, locate the reported content, and contact the person submitting the complaint.
